An Adventure.

Through time.

Mornin’ nerds.

Yesterday was a day that I’ve been needing for a while. This is what I did yesterday:

I found and purchased the last missing volume in my hardback set of Harry Potter books.

I ate fish tacos and chicken fried steak.

I rode go-karts.

I regretted eating fish tacos and chicken fried steak.

I played laser tag.

I played mini-golf.

I bought fresh ground peanut butter and small batch sodas.

I ate shoyu chicken with rice and macaroni salad.

I spent some quality time with friends and family.

I played the ever-loving-shit out of Time Pilot.

That last one is by far the most important part of the day. When I was a kid, my parents used to take us to the Elk’s Lodge every Friday night for these social dinner things. Anyway, they had Time Pilot in this “Game Room” (place to put children to get them out of their hair) and I used to play the ever-loving-shit out of it. Not familiar with this game? Maybe this will jog your memory:

No?

Oh well. The idea of the game is that you are a jet that travels through time shooting other flying things while trying not to get shot yourself. The point of this ramble is that I’ve been wanting to play it again on an arcade console, having not done so in nearly 20 years, and last night I was given that chance.

If you’d like to experience the thing that haunts me in my sleep, feel free to click here.

I had planned on taking a lot of photos yesterday, but I was too busy having fun. Which is sadly a rare thing these days.

I’m off to wash some clothes and do dishes.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
