You Are… And Always Shall Be…

My friend.

I wanna wish a very Happy Birthday to Angie the Queen of Kings. Be sure to wish her one as well.

Now, on to the sad things.

Yesterday, Leonard Nimoy died. And it is sad. I cried a little.

Pie makes everyone happy. Even Vulcans.

Pie makes everyone happy. Even Vulcans.

From the first time I ever watched Star Trek, Spock has always been my favorite. He had pointed ears. I have pointed ears. It was meant to be. I always wanted to be Vulcan. A being who could control their emotions and use logic to overcome problems? Sign me up. And he was the Science officer. No great surprise about me there, either. And now he is gone.

I hope they fire his body at a planet that is about to undergo terraforming. Then we can go find him in the sequel right after he goes through an awkward Vulcan puberty.

Whatever you do, don’t look up Zachary Quinto’s tweets about Leonard. You’ll need the Kleenex™ for sure.

That was the calmest part of my day.

On my way to work, I stopped by Belle Starr Antiques because they had a copy of “A Night at the Opera” by Queen on vinyl. FOR FIVE DOLLARS. I had to buy it. While I was there, I also scored a 1/3 California job case. This little score brought my spirits back up from the Nimoy news.

Loot

Work was madness. So much running around and then I still managed to get caught out in the Snow-nado. But I made it home safely after an hour of trying to.

And then I hiked to the Rev. Dark Wombat’s to watch some stories and have dinner. Then, I hiked home so that I could go to bed and get plenty of rest for the workout this morning.

I found out workout was cancelled once I got back home. And Nami had had diarrhea all over the garage. My night got shitty, literally, very quickly.

So, I ate a maple that Teacher Sis had brought me and passed the hell out.

And I slept in. Because I’m a grown up.

Today I am going to wait for the roads to melt. I may attempt the climb up the hill to retrieve Angie. I may let the Ninja grab her and bring her down. I may just go back to bed.

There’s a good chance roller derby is still on for this evening.

See ya’ there.

More soon. ~SC
