And an old iron shovel.

I’d like to begin this morning by wishing Beer a very Happy Birthday. Be sure to wish her one as well.

I filled yesterday to the brim.

I got most of my week’s work done. Before 11am.

Then, I picked up some goodies Teacher Sis had snagged for me when she was up on the hill and headed to the hardware store. I needed some supplies to finish my week’s work and paint in the gym.

I ate lunch.

I picked up this weird tray/desk/thing that Furious Jessy was getting rid of and handed her a stack of books on the history of England.

I dropped off a book for Lucky to read.

I gave the weird tray/desk/thing to La Duchess.

I swung by my house to retrieve supplies for painting.

I went to the Forge to paint. I painted.

I came home for dinner.

I went to my studio to get started printing a poster for a friend. This is the last commission I’m doing. I’ll still be open for suggestions, but no more paying gigs. I just feel like I keep people waiting around for me to have time to print. And that takes a lot of the fun out of it. That being said, I got the background color laid down on the new poster.

Then I went for a drive and heard the saddest song off of the newest Andrew Bird album. It’s a Handsome Family cover and it’s beautifully sad. Here, hear for yourself…

Yeah.

Brutal.

I also watched “Playing It Cool”, that movie I mentioned yesterday, in pieces throughout my day. It was pretty good as far as creative takes on romantic comedies go. I just thought it was kinda funny watching Capt. America try and steal Mr. Fantastic’s girlfriend (who was the voice of Wonder Woman in one of the animated JLA movies). Yeah, and Aubrey Plaza distracted me most of all…

aubrey

Babies.

Then, I went to bed.

Today is also filled to the brim. Hopefully with treasures.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC

  1. Dave says:

It has been said that one can often discern a womans age based on the appearance of her hands. That being said, I’m guessing Aubreys about 67. And a coal miner.
