The Most Exhausting Day.

Is the day spent waiting around.

Spring showed up yesterday.

And I was outside most of the day enjoying it. Oh, wait.

No.

No, I wasn’t.

I spent the day waiting for my truck. Or more precisely, I spent the day waiting for news about my truck. What I finally learned is that my water pump failed after 22 months to the day. Which means it is under the warranty. Seeing as how I bought the one with the lifetime warranty.

The good news is that the parts store is replacing the pump for free. The bad news is that I have to pay to have it installed. There’s a chance that I can file a labor claim with the parts store to get reimbursed, but I still have to cough up the couple hundred bucks of labor and then sit around with my thumb up my butt for the next 60-90 business days waiting for a check from the Man.

Goodie.

So much for that theater seating I had my eye on.

The good news is that I utilized my free time in a very responsible and constructive manner. Yes, I built a Lego set. And it is amazing.

I also added a bunch of the older photos onto Flickr, for good measure.

Other than that, my day was just waiting around.

Last night, the J-Bird and I celebrated what she called “the birthday eclipse”. It is the time between our birthdays when we are the same age. She knows that I have zero fucks to give about my birthday, so I obliged her with celebrating hers. For those of you panicking because you missed my birthday, fear not. You still have plenty of time to forget it.

Did I mention that my truck will be ready today? Oh, it will be.

Did I also mention that I’ll be out of town visiting Papa today? Oh, I will be.

What I won’t be is back in time to pick up my truck before my mechanic closes up shop. So, I’ll be truck-less until Monday morning.

The nice thing about next week is that it is Spring Break and I’m off. Rumor has it that we are taking the week off from workouts as well. That will be interesting.

If that’s the case, I plan on working on painting the gym most of the week and printing in my studio the rest of the time.

I talked to Sica briefly last night. We didn’t make it into the Little Craft Show’s spring event. Lame. We’ll try again in the fall.

Okay, I have to find a way to get to workout now. Other than running the 2.6 miles (4.2km) to the Forge, that is. I’m considering trying that out next week…

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC

No mention of your Orchid goodies? Shameful.
