Then We Spoke of the Rain.

Always back to the rain.

It rained yesterday.

All day.

I drove in it.

All day.

It was dumb. Like your face.

At some point between me getting into bed Sunday night and me getting to the Forge Monday morning, I lost my St. Christopher necklace. Hopefully it exploded as a repercussion of preventing me from having a wreck or something. Rather than me snagging the chain on my t-shirt and it breaking free.

The day was relatively uneventful after that.

I had a piece of tilapia for lunch. I pan seared it in butter with a little salt, pepper, and Herbes de Provence. Holy shit it was so delicious. I had eaten the entire thing before my rice got done cooking. I considered making another one, but knew that I’d fill up on tilapia before the friggin’ rice ever decided to finish cooking. (After rereading this paragraph, I promise to never tell you what I had for lunch again.)

At some point during the day, I found a can of “Oops” paint for $5. The color was hideous. Had it been something other than paint for a wall, it wouldn’t have been nearly so bad. But it was paint for a wall. I would describe it as a “dusty rose” color. Somewhere between a dark pink and a powdery magenta. Somewhere called hideous.

This paint is hideous.

This paint is hideous.

So, I of course painted part of a wall in the Forge with it. I’ll probably paint a few more with it as well. Just because it was five dollars. And I’m going to paint on top of it anyway. You’ll see.

As for today, I’ve got to assemble a care package for my new letterpress friend. I need to go by the doc’s office and give her some more of my blood. I’d also like to attempt to print the linoleum block for the new poster at some point before I have to go to work. After work, I’m running a workout for the evening class. Mwhahaha…

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
