What? Are we not doing phrasing anymore?

I’d like to begin this morning by wishing a very Happy Birthday to my Papa. Be sure to wish him one as well.

Today’s song is “Run to the Hills” by Iron Maiden. It is being brought to you today by Crackoline Clifton Monte Carlo.

So, Wednesday was the calm before the storm, apparently.

Yesterday was crazy. I drove nearly nonstop all day. And it’s looking to be another day of driving nonstop today.

Last night I was exhausted. So exhausted that I cancelled workout this morning. Given that I have to drive most of the day, and the parts of the day that I’m not driving I’ll be moving furniture, I figured I should rest a teensy bit this morning.

After I cancelled workout, I settled in for a quiet pasta dinner and set about working on filling out the new the giant secondary calendar. The master calendar has been made, now I’m working on backups.

I ended up having a really nice phone conversation with That Cherry Girl while I was working. Mostly we just talked about how amazing trees are. She did blow my mind when she told me that the tiny Japanese Black Pine bonsai that she and I attempted to grow years ago, and which also died years ago, is in a shadow box in her house.

She kept it.

All this time.

It was the first thing she ever grew from a seed. And we grew it in our apartment. I took care of it when she moved to New York. She took care of it when she came back. And her office killed it. And now it hangs in a frame on her wall. Blew my mind.

I hadn’t thought about that tree in years.

But I did last night.

A lot.

And it made me smile. In kind of a sad way.

But now it’s time for me to get this show on the road. Literally.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
