Somebody get this man a Lexapro.

So here’s what had happened.

I woke up Saturday morning in a shit mood.

I slept badly and had a headache and there was a million things that needed doing.

So of course the website was down.

Here’s the post you would’ve seen had the site not been down:

[ The word of the day is: Fork.

[ fawrk ]
noun
an instrument having two or more prongs or tines, for holding, lifting, etc., as an implement for handling food or any of various agricultural tools.
something resembling or suggesting this in form.
verb (used with object)
to pierce, raise, pitch, dig, etc., with a fork.
to make into the form of a fork.
verb (used without object)
to divide into branches:
Turn left where the road forks.
to turn as indicated at a fork in a road, path, etc.:
Fork left and continue to the top of the hill.

The week was brutal.

And now I’m going camping.

With a shitload of people.

Because that is my idea of a relaxing weekend.

Posts resume Monday.

See ya’ then.

More soon. ~SC ]

As it turns out, I had a great weekend.

After setting up camp I dropped everyone off at the river and spent four and half hours alone in the woods.

I read a little Hellboy.

I ate some peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Then I went for a walk in a dry creek bed, stared at a lot of rocks, and found a rotting deer carcass.

(Let me know if you want to see the photo I took of the aforementioned carcass.)

It was the perfect antidote for my shitty mood.

People got done floating the river, we made food, we talked, and then we passed the fuck out.

On Sunday we packed up camp in the light rain and drove home in more light rain.

Then I took the longest, hottest shower I could manage.

We spent the rest of the afternoon vegging out and reading.

Then early to bed.

The word of the day for Sunday was: Fortuitous.

[ fawr-too-i-tuhs, -tyoo- ]
adjective
happening or produced by chance; accidental:
a fortuitous encounter.
lucky; fortunate:
a series of fortuitous events that advanced her career.

That brings us to now.

Right?

Good.

The of the day is: Frangipani.

[ fran-juh-pan-ee, -pah-nee ]
noun, plural fran·gi·pan·is, fran·gi·pan·i.
a perfume prepared from or imitating the odor of the flower of a tropical American tree or shrub, Plumeria rubra, of the dogbane family.
the tree or shrub itself.

Today is Monday.

And we work on Mondays.

Welcome back.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
