Home Run.

Well, I made it home safely. The return trip was relatively uneventful. The only thing that was slightly interesting or noteworthy was the 45 minute wait in line to check the notorious suitcase. Once it was checked and handed to TSA, it was smooth sailing. Or rather, flying. I didn’t even have on of those “We Searched Your Bag” cards in the suitcase once I got home.

I glanced out the window once during the flight from Philly to Dallas and the world was covered in snow.

I have to say that this was the only time in my entire life that I have ever wished a flight was 15 minutes longer. During the flight from Dallas to home base, I managed to read all but the last 6 pages of the the last chapter of Goblet of Fire. So close. I didn’t get a chance to finish year 4 last night due to the unpacking and getting my bearings in the house again. And don’t forget the excessive snuggling that had to happen. Luckily, I returned home just before Pancake Land rediscovered her ability to survive without me. She was getting close though.

Today, I go straight into production mode at the studio. There are forms to be made if we are going to get these few and sacred orders out on time. Our future of doing wholesale pottery is looking pretty dim. We have come to the conclusion that by doing one extra retail craft show a year, roughly five days of work, would bring us more money than doing the 2 week-long wholesale shows in which we are lucky if we cover expenses. You do the Math.

My Magic 8-Ball has foreseen tomorrow being a rough day. Not considering my screwed up internal clock, I have to readjust to having missed 3 days worth of lecture and classwork. Also add in that Thursday is my long day and the fact that I probably have a test in Microbiology any day now, and I can’t help but feel that tomorrow is going to totally overwhelm me. Right now I get to be blissfully ignorant of the sheer volume of work and pressure that is awaiting me upon my return to school.

But now the time has come for me to put my typing aside and go do some actual work. More soon. ~SC
