So, I am getting around a lot later than I would have liked this morning. Pancake Land and I did not get to bed until sometime around 4 this morning. Game night over at White Chocolate’s went much better than last time, insomuch as that there were no heated arguments over the use of Kraft mac-n-cheese in the game of Scattergories. Overall, we had a great time. Unfortunately, we got around to playing Munchkin way too late in the evening when the minds of those not knowing how to play were a little too, shall we say, clouded to learn a slightly complex card game. So, it didn’t happen. Munchkin is definitely an early part of the evening game. We have learned this lesson and will make the proper arrangements next time.

Teacher Sis and I went running around for a while yesterday. I managed to get my 2 restaurants in, so I can write 2 articles today. While we were out and about yesterday, I did spot a bit of the surreal in the “Biography” section at Books-a-Million. Check it:

Also, in case you weren’t feeling old, Moleskine has released a 30th Anniversary Pac-Man set of little notebooks. 30 years! Anyways, they are totally badass. I want them so badly. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $15 on yet another tiny notebook that I would never get around to writing in. It is torture. I mean it comes with stickers and everything. The front cover is embossed with Pac-Man and a ghost. I want it. But, alas, I resisted the urge to buy it because, like I said, I just couldn’t justify spending the money on something that I would just set on a shelf with all of my other Moleskines and never write in. Christ, I spent 20 bucks on the Recipe book and still haven’t done anything with it. It breaks my heart a little to see dust on its cover. One day little friend, one day soon. Anyways, today is going to be a crazy busy day. I’ve got to finish this post. I’ve got to write 2 articles. I’ve got to ensure that all of my laundry is clean. I’ve got to wash Ava. I’ve got to go grocery shopping so that Pancake Land doesn’t starve while I am away. I’ve got to pack my suitcase so that Le Duke and I can try and get everything in as few bags as possible to avoid paying out the wazoo for luggage fees on the flights. I’ve got to, got to, got to take a shower to wash away that lingering dirty ashtray odor from game night (even though I smoked way too much last night, I can still smell it all over me). I also need to make sure that Holliday Island runs smoothly enough to keep Pancake Land from abandoning ship, yet ensure that it runs roughly enough so that she stays convinced that I am necessary to keep around. Needless to say, I’ve got my work cut out for me today. If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to sneak in a little Prisoner of Azkaban before bedtime.
