Skeletor, He’s For the Ladies.

Do you ever go to bed and then it feels like as soon as you close your eyes, the alarm goes off and it’s time to get up? Like that one episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Anyway, that was how I felt this morning.

Last night, Pancake Land and I decided to use the gift card that G-Man gave her for Grismas. It was for crab legs. All you can eat crab legs. And boy, did we ever eat all we could. I think we would have been disappointed in our performance, had we actually had to pay for dinner. But, we did our best and came home stinking like a wharf net.

I’m so not awake yet.

I saw this yesterday, and I really loved it, so I stole it and decided to share it with you. Not that I’m ahead of the times or anything, but:

Well, hello ladies.

So, I’ve decided to scrap the stationery suite project in my Letterpress class. After several people had looked at my letterhead and shot me glances over the rims of their glasses, I decided to ask K what she thought. Ultimately, it came down to whether or not I needed a stationery suite. Since I don’t need it, she advised me not to waste my time, energy, supplies, and money on printing it. So, that left me with an empty hand as far as my assignment goes. Great. I asked Pancake Land what I should do and she gave me a brilliant idea.

As some of you may know, Little Miss Cotton is putting together a burlesque show in May. Dave is doing fliers for the show, but they are more like posters. So, Pancake Land suggested I do a smaller ad for the show. A postcard? Dare I? I think I shall. So, that is in the works. I’ll let you know once it has left the drawing board. In the meantime, I am pretty much just helping everybody else in the class print their stuff. Good times. I did get a pretty high compliment yesterday, though. K introduced me to her Intro to Typography class as “the person who runs the Letterpress shop”. I thought that was pretty cool.

You know what else is cool? Little tiny kittens. I just took down the new K.C.C. (kitten concentration camp) because both Nigel and Penelope have escaped at least five times each this morning, and rather than spend my time constantly picking up kittens and returning them over the fence, I think I’ll write this post.

An update on the kittens. Nigel is still missing his mother and hanging out on various heater vents and meowing incessantly. Ophelia has developed a cold and is just barely still eating, but a can of wet food is in her future. Penelope is feisty as ever. Observe:

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you this morning. I’m running late, as usual. More soon. ~SC
