You’re A Sweet, Handsome Boy, But You Suck At Being A Cat.

Thank sweet baby Jesus it’s Friday. My new article isn’t up yet on the City Wire, but I assure you, it is Friday. And my “Spring Break” has officially started. Whoo. You know what 20 years-olds do on Spring Break? Get drunk and have sex with strangers. You know what 30 year-olds do on Spring Break? They go to work. Hey, work gives you money. And money will pay that assassin to kill that stranger who gave you the clap ten years ago. You’ve always got to look on the bright side of life. Moving on.
Kingston has always been a very loving cat. Now that we’ve got little baby cats running around, he has not ever hissed or puffed up at the them. He just really really wants to bathe them and maybe chew on their neck meats a little. Then their is all of the cuddling he does with them and us. I have come to conclusion that he is not really a cat. The thing that really tipped me off was, he never buries his shit. Out it comes like soft serve and off he goes to do something else like nothing just happened. It then falls do Eazy to bury it. Every time I see him burying Kingston’s shit, you can almost hear him mumbling and sighing.
“Goddamned kids. No respect for the way things are done.”
And for some reason Kingston’s shit always smells horrible. Like he’s been eating eggs. You would think that Eazy’s shit would be just as bad, seeing as how they eat exactly the same food, but no.
Enough about how our cat isn’t really a cat. We have more pressing things to talk about.
So, I was a very productive boy yesterday. I got an 86% on my microbiology test. I paid the $30 “graduation fee” in order to actually receive my Associate’s degree. I turned in a copy of my taxes to the Financial aid office. I met with my advisor and got cleared to register for Summer and Fall classes. I also made a big step toward making me feel better. I dropped Advanced Fine Printing and Bookmaking.
It dawned on me that I haven’t actually produced anything for myself in the class. All of my projects, including the latest one for Little Miss Cotton, had been shit canned due to either my crappy graphic design skills or because the project would not “reflect well upon the Art department”. Whatever, the case, I wasn’t producing anything myself, but instead, I was helping everybody else print. This part of the class made me happy. What was making me lose sleep was the fact that I was going to fail a class that I don’t need and that doesn’t count toward my degree at all in order to help everyone else print and make books. So, I dropped the class and since I work in the Letterpress shop, I can just be there and help everyone else. By helping them, I am actually learning to solve problems with layout and printing, thus teaching me what I wanted to learn from the class anyway. And I get paid. Plus, no pressure to produce. That equals win for me.
So, my plan is to take Physics I in the first Summer section and to take Ornithology and Ecology in the Fall. Now all I have to do is beat all of those other Biology nerds from signing up first.
Well, the time is drawing nigh for me to return to work. I will leave with a few last thoughts, though. I finished Order of the Phoenix last night. I plan on starting my Spring Break out right with tacos and The Half-Blood Prince tonight. Oh, and this is totally brilliant:
Grr… video embedding is not working again! Assholes.
Here: Watch this Star Wars Remake
Anyways, I’m off to glaze some pots. More soon. ~SC
