So, I have decided that if I start a Science-based Metal band, it is going to be called Apoptosis. It is the term for “programmed cell death”. It is why when normal cells die, they don’t build up and get removed as, say, an abundance of pus. Not like when you are sick and the microbes are killing your shit. I just thought it was pretty Metal. I also think that Natural Killer Cells are very Metal because they facilitate the apoptosis of cancer cells and viruses by releasing proteins called granzyme and perforin that punch holes in the cell membranes and attract phagocytes to the area in order to engulf and digest the non-self cells. Metal.

Last night, I had another great tutoring session. Now I get a break until Friday. This will buy me time to get my article fine-tuned and study for my Microbiology test. And maybe, if I’m lucky, I’ll get to sit on the couch and read.

Today, I’m going to be grinding the pots that are coming out of the kiln, assembling them into orders, and then heading back to the new house to lay bamboo flooring. But none of that matters right now. You know why? Because I’ve been slow cooking chili for the past 12 hours and it will continue to cook for another 8 at which point I am going to dump it onto some Fritos and eat the shit out of it. The whole house smells of delicious meaty chili. It is like Heaven.

Speaking of food, some people have way to much time on their hands. I found this the other day on the innernet. I didn’t have the brilliant forethought to look it up myself, but somebody did.
