Is That A Cookie Or The Moon?

Good morning everyone. It is Thursday and that means I can expect a long day of torture and Science. But, alas, the winds of fortune seem to be blowing in my direction today. You see, first thing this morning, I have a Microbiology test over our innate and adaptive immune systems. That just means that I potentially get out of class early. Hooray! Then, its off to the Letterpress shop for work. Since there is the Undergraduate Research Symposium tomorrow, every class that offers a lab on Fridays has canceled all of the labs this week. My Microbiology class offers a Friday lab, so no lab for me tonight. Hooray! And we’re eating leftovers, so no slaving over the hot stove. Hooray! I think that I’ll be able to come home and sit on my butt and read tonight. Awesome.

So, yesterday Dave calls me to say that my birthday presnent finally arrived and that he wanted to come over and give to me. I think the real reason he wanted to come over was because I made chili. Anyways, I got home from working on the bamboo flooring and made preparations for the chili feast to commence. Pancake Land got home a little bit later and we feasted. With only three minutes remaining in the episode of Roseanne, Dave called to say he was on his way. Perfect timing on his part, considering he hates Roseanne. So, he comes over and throws this little white Tyvek bag at me. He kept telling me that this gift would blow my mind, but I still wasn’t ready. And neither are you. I opened the bag to discover the t-shirt version of this:

Abraham LINKoln.

I still can’t wrap my head around how insane it is. I was going to wear it today, but I felt I needed to layer up on the lucky shirts since I have a test this morning. Maybe tomorrow.

In other news, I got around to ordering some of the upgrades for my trike yesterday. They should be here in about a week, so expect the tale of me rebuilding my ride in the next week or so. Also, I think Operation B is coming into town for the weekend from wherever he is these days. And I think we are having a semi-S.A.N.D. meeting at Emmy’s on Saturday. No you can’t come. Or I guess you can, but you just have to sit a different table and not talk to us.

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you today. Wish me luck on my test. More soon. ~SC
