So, It’s Just Like Pretty Woman?

Oh, God. Is it really morning already? Ugh. The good news is that they are forecasting thunderstorms every other day for the next week. I wouldn’t want to not risk being struck by lightning before Microbiology. Why is it, that I seem perfectly awake and alert until I sit down at the keyboard and try to write something?

Well, yesterday was very exciting. I didn’t lay a single piece of bamboo flooring. I got a call from Le Duke at about 7:45am, informing me that he had apparently left the dome light on in the van, thus killing the battery, and therefore he needed a jump in order to go make pots at Northside for “Career Day”. Luckily, it was one of Pancake Land’s late days, so I could snag the truck for a bit. Why did Le Duke not take his car, you ask? Because he wrecked it while driving home last Thursday. Whoa, slow your roll there shorty. He’s fine. He was driving across the river bridge, in a light rain, listening to music, and the next thing he knew he was spinning around and pinballing off of the guard rails. (I think he blew a tire out.) He thought that he had peed his pants as a result of the accident, but is was just his glass of water that spilled. Anyways, the car is pretty much… how should I put this? Destroyed. The insurance company had a tow truck come and collect it yesterday and take it in for assessment. But that doesn’t help Le Duke get to Northside to teach when the van battery is dead.

Anyways, I dropped Le Duke off at the high school, came home, dropped the truck off, triked to work, and began the day, officially. I got the van battery charged up so that I could go get Le Duke after school let out. I made one of the clay blocks for the restoration of the old Malco building. I made a replacement carpel for this flower sculpture that we had made recently. Apparently, somebody didn’t glue the center of the flower together well enough and the wind knocked off its special lady part that I made for it. So, I made a new one. A better one. You don’t really know how incredibly phallic the lady parts of flowers are, until you have to build one out of clay. After my fun and creative play time that never happens, so I grabbed on to this opportunity and held on for dear life, I shipped some packages and dealt with galleries until school let out. I picked Le Duke up, dropped the packages off, and headed to get him a rental car.

After that, I came home and tutored Math. Then I made patty melts and fries. Jealous? You should be, they were the bomb in Phantoms, yo. Anyways, that was yesterday. Today is rain and school and more tutoring. Oh, and Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. I F*CKING LO-O-O-O-VE ITALIAN WEDDING SOUP! Anyways, off to school. More soon. ~SC
