The Stuff Of Dreams.

Okay, I’ve got loads of things to talk about today so we had better get this party started. Today is Friday. That means my new article is up on the City Wire. If you would like to read my article, click here: Comfort Food. If you don’t want to read my article, click here: Discomfort Food. Also, Friday means a new XKCD.

In other exciting news, Young Me/Now Me finally posted our photos (a week ago). If you want to see the images again and read the blurb that will be going into the book, click here: Rude Boys. Over 13,000 people like us. Not nearly that many people like you, so there.

As some of you may know, we here at Holliday Island have been a little strapped for cash lately. Between unforeseen expenses and tax time, we’ve been pretty broke. This brokeness has made me stress out about how I am going to pay for my Physics class that starts in, oh I don’t know, a week. We’re talking almost a thousand bucks. Where’s the money going to come from? Who knows? Normally I would have just dropped the class and called it a day, but I am in a very interesting situation. Since I dropped the Book Arts class (since I wasn’t making anything in there) I also slipped into a place where I didn’t have enough hours to continue getting my scholarship in the fall. But, if I take a summer class, I get back up into safe waters. See me predicament? In order to get money for school in the future, I have to figure out how to pay for school now. Bollocks. But alas, my worries are nearly over. I got an email from the school yesterday informing me that because I had not used up my allotted grant money during this previous fall and spring semesters, that some of that money was being made available for my summer class. Hooray! I even have a little money in the bookstore. So, I literally have to find the money to buy the book and I’m golden. Just like Ponyboy.

Yesterday we got the tile down in the new bathroom. Today we grout it. If only I could stop having this re-occurring nightmare in which Le Duke tells me that I’ve done it wrong and he makes me tear it all up and do it over. Ah, dreams about work. Gotta love ’em.

So, Pancake Land found something amazing last night and, since I was watching over her shoulder (much to her dismay), I discovered it, too. If you thought Drunk History was brilliant, you’ve got to see My Drunk Kitchen. This gal gets drunk and tries to cook. Hilarity ensues. There are only 6 episodes so far, but I can see a great many more in the future. If you want to check out here site and whatnot, click here: Harto & Co. I’m trying to come up with some way of collaborating with her, but nothing has come to mind. Any ideas? Anyway, this is probably my favorite episode of My Drunk Kitchen so far, so enjoy:

Well, it is time to go grout the new tile so awesomely that there is no way Le Duke could ever want it redone. Ever. Have a great Friday. More soon. ~SC
