Uninspired.

I would like to start off today by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Big D. Be sure to wish him one as well.
In approximately one hour, I will be sitting down to take my Microbiology lecture final exam. Have I totally forgotten about it until now? I wouldn’t use the word forgotten. That makes it sound like my avoidance of the subject was an accident. I have been so busy lately, that it just seems like I’m flying through life as fast as I can. Since last Thursday morning, which was the last time I thought about my Micro final, I’ve distributed 100 invitations by hand, helped plan a book party, dealt with air compressor failures, ate at a restaurant on assignment, eaten my weight in spicy crustaceans, worked on casing my book, glazed 110 hourglass tumblers, tutored Algebra, made tuna helper, written an article, and blown my nose dozen of times interspersed throughout. All of it was a blur. And all of it has been coated with this sticky film made of the sensation that I can’t do anything right. If that’s not enough to put a bad taste in your mouth, I don’t know what is.
I really cannot wait for this week to be over. After Sunday, which is Mother’s Day if you’d forgotten, everything will slow down until the beginning on June when my Physics class begins. Le Duke leaves for France, so the studio work will slow down. I am fairly certain the Letterpress gig is about to wrap up. The tutoring won’t be slowing down for the next 7 or 8 years, but I’m okay with that. And there are still hundreds of restaurants to eat it at. So, even though life will slow down a little, it won’t be stopping completely for quite a while.
But the time has come for me to gird my loins for this exam. Wish me luck. More soon. ~SC
