Wishing It Really Was Cat-urday.

I’m getting around late today, but what else is new? I bought myself a fancy travel tripod yesterday. That’s new. I hear you thinking it. You’re saying: What the big friggin’ deal about a new tripod? My answer: Try taking a photo of yourself everyday for over two years while leaving your tripod at home and you’ll understand.

Yesterday was a day of making lists. We are in the final preparations for Le Duke’s departure tomorrow and that means that everybody needs a list of things to do while he is away. So, I made lists. I have yet to add “look at stuff” and “think about stuff” to the lists, but that definitely will be done today. The departure of Le Duke just so happens to coincide with the return of Zaxxon. He is finally escaping the God-forsaken country of Minnesota and will home for a few weeks before heading off to the desert for his summer job. Hooray for having Zaxxon back!

And mushroom pie didn’t happen yesterday. Apparently it has to cook for like 6 hours or some shit, and that was not going to happen yesterday. So, I made turkey and dressing instead. Tonight is soup and sandwich night, but I’m bailing on it to go eat at some experimental food thing with Teacher Sis right after my tutoring. At least it will buy Pancake Land some alone/quiet time. After she gets home from work all tired and whatnot, I usually have to really struggle not to pester her, seeing as how I missed her and want to chat about the day. Today she gets a little break from the norm and can sit and relax without me bugging her. God knows she needs a little quiet time these days.

Is it just me or have all of you had the overwhelming urge to break into song lately as well? I mean a lot. I keep finding myself standing behind Le Duke in the office at work, either at the electronic piano or with a guitar, singing about whatever Le Duke is doing. Songs that go like:

And he’s checking his email

There’s one to reply to

“Dear Bill” he types

At this point Le Duke usually cracks up laughing and kicks me out of the room. You don’t know how hard it is to type an email with someone standing right behind you singing about you typing an email.

Is anybody else having this problem with the random singing? Okay, anybody other than Little Miss Cotton?

Pancake Land sent me this video. It is about a kitten and the scariest thing ever. Well, at least the scariest thing that kitten has ever seen. Enjoy:

Precious, right? Anyways, gotta run to work. More soon. ~SC
