This post was written early this morning. I was too lazy to get on the innernet to post it until right now. We ahve made it to Baltimore, set up the booth and I am wiped out. Here’s what I wrote this morning:
Good morning all. I am currently typing this from the couch at Casa Chulius/von Blitzenstein. I just woke up, so please forgive my brain. No one else is up yet and if I walk around I make noise and also remember that I need to pee. So, I’m sitting here pretending to be quietly typing. I think I have an eyelash in my eye, but I can’t really tell if there is something in my eye or if my eye if just trying to go back to sleep.
Yesterday was another exhausting one. Of course as soon as it was my turn to drive the torrential rain started again. This time it didn’t stop when it was Le Duke’s turn again. It rained on and off until we got into DC. In addition to that awesomeness, there was road construction and accidents. The traffic was crawling along in places. Overall it took us about an hour longer than we had predicted which isn’t that bad if you hadn’t been in a van for two days. Having been in a van for two days, adding an extra hour in the van was torture. I’m telling you, I’m flying everywhere that is more than a 3 hour drive away. I can at least pace around at an airport while my flights are delayed. This sitting in an uncomfortable seat for 9 hours a day is bullshit.
To top that wonderful driving in the rain experience off, I had to drink crappy coffee all day to try to stay awake. That and I felt like I needed to poop, but nothing would happen anytime I tried to poop. All day.
Anywho, I think I here people stirring, so I’m go to go eat some breakfast and drink some good coffee. More soon. ~SC
PS I ate bacon jam for breakfast and it was amazing.
