Slow Cook O’Clock.

Yesterday was a day that was not planned very well. Perhaps it was because my schedule has returned to normal and I wasn’t prepared for it. Whatever the reason, it was weird. It felt like I was playing catch up all day. It all started when I remembered upon waking that I had not put dinner in the crock pot yet. So, I had to do that before I could get on with everything else. That set my whole schedule back about half an hour for the rest of the day. Then I made a post and went to work where the playing catch up continued. The work day ended with Le Duke asking me to make some slabs at 5:05pm. So, I did. I got home around 6pm, chowed down on the slow cooker dinner that I had prepared, cleaned up that mess, and started cooking tonight’s slow cooker dinner. The next thing I know, it’s 9 o’clock. What the crap?!

Yeah, yesterday was weird. I was going to go play with my friends, but somehow time escaped me. So I went to bed instead and tried to fall asleep to the sound of fireworks. Or was that a gang fight? No idea. All I know is that it was loud and seemingly random. Was it really random? No. Why do I know this? Because every time that I was on the brink of falling asleep. BOOM! (sizzle crackle) Assholes. And all of it seemed to be happening right outside my window. Fireworks are fun if it is you who is shooting them off. Otherwise, they are just irritatingly loud exploding projectiles for sissies.

In other news, Miss Harto posted a 4th of July edition of My Drunk Kitchen where she takes on baking one more time. It is brilliant. Enjoy:

Everything sucks lately. It is not just me sensing this either. It has been the general consensus from various sources. Everything is stupid. But fear not, friends. I have discovered a simple solution to making everything OK. All you have to do is follow this link, click the button, and everything will be made OK. Go make everything OK.

See. I’ll told you it would make everything OK. Well, I’ve got to run. Work is needing doing. What work there is to do, I have no idea. More soon. ~SC
