I didn’t want to get up this morning. The days are starting to get shorter and it is darker and darker every morning when the alarm goes off. This translates to “Hit the snooze button again” in my brain. Mmm…snooze button.

Yesterday was a day made of making messes and then cleaning up messes. I spent a good deal of the day making glaze for the VBHS. In addition to permanently staining my t-shirt and parts of my skin with red iron oxide (looks like blood), I also spent a lot of time trying to come up with a solution to our frequent server outages. In short, I worked on getting the collective Colossus network a bank account. This seems funny to me. I don’t really know why, but it does. Anyway, nothing is resolved yet. But I should have a consensus sometime later this week and at least one of our problems should be handled.

On a strange note, I got a text message yesterday. How weird is that? It was from my cellular provider informing me that I had exceeded $100 in fees in calls. The shit?! In an attempt to find out what the Hell is going on, I tried viewing my bill online. They must be processing it or something because it kept giving me an error and telling me to try again later. Overcharging jerks. From what I could piece together from their crappy website, I exceeded my normal allotted monthly minutes by almost 300. Given that minutes over my assigned amount cost around $0.45 a piece, this is not happy news. Looks like I’ll be dealing with them today. Letterpress is looking better and better by the minute. Not one with a motor, either. I’m talking old school Gutenburg style. Something like this:

No wires. No motors. No mother boards. Just iron and wood and Physics. Maybe I’ll start raising carrier pigeons so that we can all keep in touch. If you need to talk to me, hit me on my pigeon, yo. Er, maybe not.

Not today anyway. On that note, I’m off to stick stickers to fish plates and beg galleries to place orders with me. More soon. ~SC
