It’s All Gushy.

Is is just me, or is it still dark outside? What the crap. Good morning all. It is time get up and go to work. That means you, too. I’m up, that means you have to get up. Please don’t make me start making the most irritating sound in the world. Whew! Thanks for getting out of bed.

Yesterday was a pretty productive day. I tiled part of my kitchen. I took down the shelving over the stove. I patched the giant friggin’ hole in the ceiling where there was once a vent hood. I painted the place that should have been painted a year and a half ago, but I was too lazy then. And then I tiled some more. Until I ran out of glue. So far, I have the backsplash on both walls finished and all that is left is the wall right behind the stove. Currently there is a big metallic rectangle of tiles on the wall. Soon.

That was my biggest and most complicated accomplishment yesterday. Sure, I wrote this week’s article. And yeah, I did some laundry, but I had to cut plywood with a tiny handsaw for the kitchen repairs. A handsaw. Not a power saw, but a piece of metal with teeth and a handle. Let me bask in my successful accomplishment for a minute, okay?

In addition to all of that other stuff that I did yesterday, I also got the ball rolling with taking on another math student. More Geometry. I lost an Algebra and gained a Geometry. I can live with that. People can grasp Geometry a little easier because you have tangible objects rather than letters commingling with their numbers. Anywho, new student.

After all the laundry doing and tile sticking and grocery shopping was done, Pancake Land and I sat down and watched Super. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch it. Especially if you like:

a) Rainn Wilson

b) Ellen Page

c) comic book/superhero movies

d) Kevin Bacon

Little Miss Cotton had told me that this movie was “cute”. I think “totally insane” is a better way of describing it. I mean yes, there is a totally cute bunny in it, but the pipe wrench wielding costumed vigilante who smashes faces of those who butt in lines, not cute. But still, pretty brilliant. I think. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.

Oh, look at the time. Gotta run. Have a wonderful Monday. More soon. ~SC
