The First Degree.

Good morning all. It is glorious Friday. That means my new article is up on the City Wire. To read it, click here: my new article on the City Wire. If you would not care to read the new article, then you can, to affectionately quote Teacher Sis, blow it out your ass. Love you.

Yesterday was yet another example and further proof of my hypothesis that Thursdays are the best day of the week. It was a good day. I got a lot accomplished and things just seem to work out the way they are supposed to.

Le Duke, Little Miss Cotton, and I got the gallery all packed up in record time in preparation for this weekend’s craft show. Today Le Duke and I will head to the show to set up our booth.

So, remember the metal wall tile that I put up in my kitchen? Well, I’ve waiting for my phone bill to be adjusted so that I would know if I have any money, so that I could buy the rest of the tiles to complete the backsplash. Waiting, waiting, waiting, always waiting. So, bill get’s adjusted and I go to buy the tile. “This item is currently unavailable.” Dammit. This was Monday. Yesterday, being Thursday, the day that things work out, I Google searched the tiles hoping to find an alternate vendor. Rather than a vendor, I found the source. So, I ordered my tiles. They should ship out this morning. Score one for Thursday.

I also managed to get ahold of an advisor in the Records department at the university who can work wonders with degree plans and transcripts. We made an appointment for next Thursday to see what bachelor’s degree I am closest to getting. Just to see. For fun.

After work, I came home, ate some leftovers, took a shower, and got ready for movie night. Pancake Land needed to get out of the house, so we planned a movie night. You can tell that she either really needed to get out of the house or that she really missed me (the cats) because she skipped the opening night of college football season to come hang out with me. And two SEC teams were playing. We opted to actually go out to the movies and selected Cowboys and Aliens as our destination. If you haven’t seen this flick, watch it. It is a lot of fun. It is a movie that critics have shredded because that is what critics do, take the fun out of life. If you go into the flick expecting a classic western to be combined with a classic alien movie, you’ll dig it. They pretty much stuck to every old cliche and stereotype from those two classic genres. Well done guys.

Well, I’ve got to get to work so that I can set up our booth. If you aren’t doing anything this weekend, feel free to come to the Clothesline Fair in Prairie Grove. They have apple crispitos. Have a wonderful Friday. More soon. ~SC
