My Day Of Being In An Isaac Asimov Novel.

Morning all. I went to bed way passed my bedtime last night, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Yesterday was a day of grinding pots and shipping orders. It was hot yesterday. Like sweating in a t-shirt and longing for my Chacos hot. Ain’t Arkansas grand? So I ground pots. And assembled them into orders. Then, I shipped those orders. This should have been the end of my studio day and the beginning of my tutoring day, but my first lesson got postponed until Wednesday. So, I worked on getting the big printer to work in order to print the postcards for the upcoming home show. Then I came home.

And my other lesson got postponed. So, I decided to make chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, corn, and gravy. And I did. As I was pulling the chicken fried steaks out of the oven, I noticed that they smelled weird. Kind of sweet. It was then that I tried to pick one up and it just disintegrated. It turns out that at some point the steaks were thawed, went bad, and were unknowingly refrozen. Mashed potatoes with gravy and corn for dinner! As I ate dinner I watched a little Star Trek. This is when the Asimov stuff started happening. You see, before I set out to cook dinner, I made plans with Zaxxon to watch Real Steel in the theater. The episode of ST:TNG was the one where they had to decide whether or not Data was the property of Star Fleet or an individual with rights and whatnot.

Then we watched Real Steel. There wasn’t a lot of the robot human morality stuff, but there was some. My thoughts on the Asimov thing aren’t very well defined, but I just had to recognize when a theme emerged in my day. And it did.

After the movie Zaxxon and I returned to the house to do a test run of our podcast called “Date Night”. We recorded a 30 minute pilot which I am trying to figure out how to post on here. Please be patient.

Today I am making stuff, and glazing stuff, and printing stuff, and cutting stuff, and preparing for another round of hanging out tonight. But before all of that goes down, I’ve got a dentist appointment. That said, I’ma go get ready for this potentially very long day. More soon. ~SC
