My Normal Day.

Yesterday was relatively unremarkable. Needless to say, I am still going to remark on it. It began with me groggily making a cup of coffee and it ended with me playing a round of solitaire and working a word find. Everything in between those two points was normal as well.
I made a few x-mas tree platters when I got to work. I went to the dentist and had the calcareous excretions of bacteria scraped from in between my molars. No cavities. Whew! I returned from the dentist and made a few more x-mas trees. I set out to get the big printer to work so that I could print the postcards for the home show next weekend. I got it to work and printed the cards. Then, I cut the cards on our rickety old paper cutter. I set La Duchess to sticking return address labels while I went to pick up a few packing supplies that I realized we had run out of. It helps me pack orders to have packing supplies. I also picked up the postage stamps for the postcards. After my errands, the Royal family and myself sat down to work on labeling the cards. At some point, I printed the mailing labels. Not important. Moving on.
After work, I came home, grabbed a quick bite to eat, and took a shower. A much needed one by the smell of things. At some point it dawned on me that between Dave, Zaxxon, and me we all must have forgotten we were supposed to have boy’s night. Star Trek it is, then. Before sitting down to turn my brain off, I opted to try my hand at making Swedish brownies. They are a dense blond cake that tastes like almonds. Think brownie texture, but white and almond rather than chocolate fudgey. Then I watched an episode, talked to Ma Wombat on the phone for an hour, ate a little something, and played my nighttime ritual games. Off to sleep at a decent hour.
I woke up at 5:30am and opted not to get up. I got a little before 7:00am. Today I’ll be finishing up the postcards, packing a few small orders, shipping them, and probably going back to glazing. I might be working on getting the gallery in order for the home show. After work, I’ve got tutoring. My Monday students got bumped to today. Then I’ve got to fine tune this week’s article and submit it. Then, more than likely, Star Trek and bed. I’m sure there will be many wrenches thrown into the gears and many fires to put out. You can’t go very long in Lippincottonia without something going haywire.
It feels weird to have a normal day. Don’t worry, I won’t get used to it. And with that, I’m off. More soon. ~SC
