Mornin’ everybody. It is that end of the week day of Friday once again. Was it just me or was this week really long? It seemed to go on forever seems like. Anyways, it being Friday and all, that means that it is time for stuff. For starters, my new article is up on the City Wire. If you’d care to read it, click here: Like Ketchup, But Better.

If you haven’t noticed yet, I put a new episode of Date Night up. This week’s episode is Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Do enjoy it. A bit of a teaser for next week: Zaxxon, Dave, and I go all redneck.

Also, Dave sent me this:

And I’m sure you knew it was only a matter of time before I turned my new instant camera in my own direction, so yeah:

In other news, I work a lot. Yesterday, Le Duke and I got the new kitchen functioning again. Fridge, stove, sink, microwave, dishwasher, all check. It may look a little rough, but you can cook and then wash the dishes in it. Hey, it beats eating KFC everyday.

Speaking of KFC, I’ve lived right by a KFC for two years now and I might have eaten there once during that time. Now, if it were a Popeye’s the story would be very different. Mmm… red beans and rice.

Oh, back to talking about work. After working on the kitchen and starting a glazathon, I headed to the letterpress shop to pull the motor on one of our Vandercooks. It had been making a racket and doing this sort of thumping/knocking as it ran. Thatsa no good. So, I pulled the motor and the belt driven steel roller. Perhaps that quarter inch of caked on ink is part of our problem. Jeez. After I got the majority of the ink off of the end of the roller and the gear, adjusted the drive gear, and put it all back together again, she purred like a Kingston.

Today is a one jobber. I’m working in the studio today. Yes, I know it has been a while since I spent an enitre day out there, but mugs need a-glazin’. And I’m the man to do it. Maybe this weekend I’ll finally get to break in the Skyward Sword. I’m not going to hold my breath, though.

Well, I guess I’d better get to it. Have a wonderful Friday. More soon. ~SC

  1. Dave says:

Ha. Funny I read your bit about turning the camera on yourself AFTER I commented with the very same notion in the instant photo section.
