What Happens When Little Kids Just Get Older.

It’s pretty much official that Prince Jazzbo has pneumonia. But he seems to be responding well to treatment. And they took his catheter out. That’s all I know about the situation right now. We’re in stasis until the pneumonia gets handled.
I think yesterday is a pretty good example of what it means to be a man-boy. If you are familiar with the term, then please forgive my having to explain it. A man-boy is the phenomena that occurs when a little boy just gets older without really growing up too much. I’ve been informed that everyone experiences this sort of phenomenon to some degree, but with me it is relatively noticeable. For example, some people would treat them self to a trip to the spa or to a new gadget or a convertible sports car if they were feeling little down and in need of rewarding. I treated myself to an instant camera. The most juvenile of cameras. I mean look at the thing:
If that doesn’t look like a little kid camera, I don’t what does. If you haven’t noticed, I added an Instant Photo page to the Ongoing Photo Projects. That said, I guess you can pretty much assume that I got my camera. I’ll be updating as I take photos, but I’ll share them here as well. Here’s the first two:
I am pleased with the 7s so far. It will take a little getting used to, but that’s how it is with anything new I suppose.
Back to being a man-boy, Teacher Sis had apparently ordered me a presnent for Grismas and forgot all about it until it arrived yesterday. She brought it by to me on her way up to the hospital. Wanna see it? Okay:
Yes, that’s a version of “Starry Night” with Batman in it. It is aptly called “Dark Starry Knight”. The guy who painted it has a bunch of others and a book where he adapted Winnie the Pooh into Wookie the Chew for all of you Star Wars nerds out there. His name is James Hance. If you wanted to buy me a presnent, I would not object.
Despite my toys and my Batman themed Van Gogh painting, I did do a good deal of grown up stuff yesterday. Le Duke and I worked on the kitchen until I headed over to work in the letterpress shop. I did that for the remainder of the day and then headed home to actually write this week’s article. After all of that grown up work I had to refocus my inner child, so I organized my Garbage Pail Kids cards into collector’s card sheets only to realize how many I was missing. That was depressing. So, luckily Teacher Sis was up for an emergency run to Le Target for more GPK cards after she left the hospital. Treat yo’ self. And we rounded out the adventure with a Taco Bell run. As I stated in yesterday’s Daily Photo, sometimes you just need to put a hot link in a chili cheese burrito.
Okay, well I’ve got stuff to do. Stuff like work on my Raphael costume. More soon. ~SC
