A Heavy Surprise.

In the midst of a crazy day yesterday, we got a heavy surprise. I was trying to make turtles, fish, and rabbits. Le Duke was trying to do whatever it is that he does. The people installing the granite countertops in the kitchen at the new house were due any moment. And… phone rings.
The clay truck is on its way.
I’m sure glad we’ve got that cold mist thing happening right now. Perfect lugging clay weather.
Other than a bit of hectic scheduling, yesterday was very productive. I got a bunch of non-mug stuff made. We got the van loaded down with clay. I got part of the clay loaded into the studio the long way (because of the muddy condition of the grounds, I couldn’t park the van behind the studio to unload for fear of getting it stuck.) I worked in the letterpress shop. Then I came home, thought about taking a shower, brushed my teeth instead, thought about baking cookies, ate ice cream instead, and went to bed.
Today is another crazy day. Despite the fact that I’m running late, and that Kingston is driving me absolutely insane this morning with his insistence on being insatiable, I’ve got baking cookies to look forward to at the end of the day. Light at the end of the tunnel. Since life has been throwing me so many curves balls over the past year, and there isn’t really a light at the end of the long term life plan tunnel, I’ve decided that getting through the daily tunnel is the only way to survive. One day at a time. Today’s goal is baking cookies.
Tomorrow is another day of lots to do as well. Pretty much assume that if I’m up before 8am then the day is going to be hectic and full of me doing at least 2 of my jobs.
Oh, look at the time. Gotta run. More soon. ~SC
