The Possible Pun.

Yesterday was hectic. I felt pretty grumpy all day. Perhaps it was the combination of sleeping for crap, me being in charge at the studio, and the lack of a mid-day cup of coffee that conspired against me. Whatever the case, by the time 5pm rolled around I was ready to head home for a Frito pie and a relaxing night of doing the housework that I put off on Sunday in order to hang out and record a podcast. And there was a chance my taxes might happen.
The doing of my taxes will now be happening on Thursday night, which left last night open for other junk. I did get a brilliant email from Word to Me. Apparently, a local church put this on their sign:
It’s about time that other people started catching on.
In other news, I did get a bit of exciting info in relation to an idea that I had a few weeks ago. I had this idea for a very punny photo involving one of the art teachers at the school. I had sent her an email about it, but got no reply. I happened to run into her yesterday and I asked about the email. She never got it. Damn you SPAM filters. Anyways, I pitched the idea and rather than be offended or worse, uninterested, she thought the idea was funny and hopped on board with the project. Now, if only I had a whip. No. Seriously.
Indeed that is the one prop that the photo is missing to make it funny. So, this is where I ask you, my loyal readers, for help. Do any of you have a whip that I could borrow? Not so much a riding crop. More like a bull whip or a cat-of-nine-tails or something. Anywho, let me know if you’ve got anything for me.
Also, let me point out that this is not going to be the sexy photo shoot that you are imagining. If I let you create this whole Bettie Page photo shoot in your head, then you’ll be incredibly disappointed when you see it. Remember, I said it was going to be punny. Which means that most people will not get it and the rest of you will groan at how bad the joke is. But, like Andy Kaufman once said, as long as I laugh then the joke’s funny.
What’s on my plate today? Oh, sweet baby Batchild, there’s plenty. I’m meeting with my potential boss for coffee first thing. Then studio stuff. Then tutoring. Then article stuff. Then pasta. Mmm… pasta. With meatballs.
Well, I’m off to it. Have a wonderful middle of the week. More soon. ~SC

I have been meaning to get a whip actually. I want to learn how to grab things with it. And also to whip the unholy fuck out of people and things. You know, for fun.
Also, for when I’m in trouble.
