Ugh, this time change is brutal. Still dark outside, late for work. Awesome.

So, yeah, it’s official. My grandmother really did die on Thursday. And for the record, all of the arrangements that my family was making were in accordance with her wishes. It’s called end of life planning. Look it up. Sorry if I’m a bit snippy, but some people got their panties in a bunch about the flippant way I was talking about this whole situation.

Just to clarify a few things. It sucks that my grandmother died. I’m not happy about it, but don’t expect me to be too upset about it. I haven’t ever been close to that half of my family. I mean I’ve seen this woman maybe four times my whole life and can easily count the number of times I’ve talked to her over the years on both my hands. Batman forbid, my Nanny ever dies, I’ll be a blubbering mess, but Grandma B, nah. Plus, she was nearly 95 years old and she died of old age in her sleep. She didn’t suffer or anything. I’ll probably cry at the funeral, but I’m not calling in to work for the next two weeks because I’m broken up about it.

Sorry. I had to rant for a minute. People just irritate the shit out of me sometimes.

So, yesterday was very productive. I took a much needed shower. Zaxxon came by and we watched a movie. Then we recorded ourselves talking about the movie. Then I had tea and went to bed. Oh, I made white chocolate macadamia cookies at some point, too.

Today is the first day in a long time in which I have no idea what I’ll be doing at work. I’m supposed to have tutoring and class after that, but until then it’s all questions marks. I’m about to go into the great unknown. Happy Monday. More soon. ~SC

  1. Taco Planet says:

All I heard was ‘cookies’. Does that make me an ass?

  2. Nope. It makes you normal.

  3. Word to Me says:

I am sorry about Grandma B. She was my Mother-In-Law for 10 years. I guess when your Father died I quit existing to that side of the family. (I hope my parents outlive us all). Hopefully you will inherit a great deal of money. If you do, remember who raised you. How’s that for snippy?
