Let’s Assume That She’s Dead.

Guess who forgot to spring forward last night. Me.
So, yesterday was productive. I bought enough groceries to last me for a little bit. Next weekend Teacher Sis and her crew will be at the anime festival, so I’m busying myself elsewhere. In fact on Wednesday night a pretty well known book artist is getting into town and doing a lecture at the university. You should go. I’ll be there. Then on Saturday he’s offering a free workshop at the letterpress shop. You should go to that before becoming a drunkass. I’ll be at the workshop as well.
I’ve got two of my three restaurants that I need for the coming weeks in the bag. All this preparation for my trip, you know. I also procured enough dog food to feed the backyard beasts for a month. And some vienna sausages for me. Mmm… meat in a can.
So, it is looking like I’ll be going to Houston on the 22nd of this month. Nobody is really saying whether or not my grandmother died, but my family is the type that would go ahead and plan a funeral before the person has died. The funeral’s on the 23rd at 11am. So, let’s just assume that she died peacefully in her sleep. It makes this whole situation less weird to imagine that she’s died rather than to except that the fact that my family has had this planned for days now when I know good and well that she was still alive when they started making the arrangements with her church.
Man, I’ve got the cupcake jones today. Hmm… I’ll see what I can do about that. I’ma go write an article and contemplate cakes. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, despite the rain. More soon. ~SC
