So Effective You Could Skip A Day.

I’d like to start this Ides of March post off by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Krahli. Be sure to wish him one as well.
So, as some of you know, I’m a Mitchum man. I’ve been using the same deodorant for as long as I can remember. Back in the good old days, they used to have clever little sayings on the cap of the tube. Stuff like: “If your favorite vegetable is a corn dog, then you’re a Mitchum man.” Recently, it has stopped working for me. I smell very rugged and manly when I shouldn’t smell at all. So, I’ve been testing out a new kind of deodorant. My attempts in the past have resulted with underarm rashes, so I wasn’t excited about this current trial run. So, far my travel sized Degree seems to be doing the job, but it makes me smell a bit like my junior high locker room. A combination of sweat and artificial “manly” fragrances.
Yesterday was as brutal as I had expected it to be. I laid tile and did tile prep most of the day. My advisor meeting was relatively painless, but after contorting my body into different shapes all day, I was a bit stiff and achey by the time my book arts lecture had finished. The shower I had intended on taking on Tuesday was definitely in order. A long soak in a torrent of scalding water did the trick.
Has anyone else noticed that it is balls hot outside? I have. I had to wear shorts yesterday and I was still sweating like Boy George eating a corn dog by 11am.
After work, the book art lecture, some chili cheese burritos, and my shower it was damn near bedtime. Time flies when you’re really busy torturing your muscles. Today holds more tiling for me. Then dinner at Dave and Little Miss Cotton’s house.
Friday is grouting day and a trip to Seasaw Shawn’s for some welding. Possibly my new desk. Saturday is my letterpress workshop. Sunday is article stuff and housework. Exciting weekend for sure.
Anyways, tiles await me. More soon. ~SC
