Like Being On Fire.

So, my neck hurts. And because of this, I have learned a valuable lesson. One which I will share with you now. To help relax my neck, so that I could turn my head to the right, I stood in the shower, under the hottest water I could stand, with the sad sprayer in the shower “massaging” my neck. I stood there until I ran out of hot water. Then I got out and found the sample packet of Biofreeze that I had from somewhere. If you’ve never used Biofreeze, it’s awesome. It is pretty much pure menthol gel. It really helps relax muscles and take the pain away. It’s good stuff. So, as per the instructions on the package, I rubbed a thin layer on my neck.
What the instructions and warning labels failed to mention is that perhaps you should not apply this product to skin that has been hammered with scalding hot water for 45 minutes.
Hot Skin + Cold Menthol Gel = The Sensation That Fire Is Shooting Out Of Your Neck
To say that it burned is quite the understatement. The only bad part is that afterwards, my neck felt better. Which meant that I continued to apply Biofreeze to my neck until bedtime. (Not more than 4 times during the course of the day, as per the label’s instructions. Of course.)
For the most part, I spent my day in meetings yesterday. Then I had class last night. It was the last one. Everything else I have to do for my food microbiology class is here at the lappy. Lab reports, morbidity and mortality reports, and the final exam. Not to mention whatever I need to be working on for my geography class.
Today is a little work at Lippincottonia. Then a much needed massage. Then more meetings. Then, probably, homework. Ugh, I just need to survive the next two weeks, then everything will be back to the normal madness that is my life. Well, no point in putting it off. I’m gonna get to it. More soon. ~SC
