I must have been very tired. Who am I kidding? I am very tired. I slept through my alarm this morning. I blame the cats.

It is official. As of this morning, I am the “Director of Mentoring and Tutoring”. As some of you may already know, I am resigning from Mudpuppy to become a teacher. More than a teacher really. I am helping to create a school. I can’t say too much about it yet, because nothing is really concrete about the place. Nothing except the fact that I am now on a payroll somewhere other than Lippincottonia. That explains why I quit the letterpress shop at the university. In case you were wondering.

All I can really say about my new job is that I am in charge of making sure that other people don’t ruin other people’s lives. That and making sure that people help other people graduate from high school. That’s the plan anyway. You’ll be right here, I’m sure, to find out if that happens or not.

For the next few months, I’ll be finishing up my projects for Le Duke and making sure the new guy doesn’t burn down the studio. That’ll be one of my week days. The rest of my week will be devoted to getting this school on its feet. That and trying desperately to get a bachelor’s degree in something. Don’t worry, I’ll still be writing my articles for the City Wire and clearance shopping with Teacher Sis and tutoring Math. Most of my life won’t change too much. Just no more pottery. Not for work anyway. Now I can finally go and make pots for fun. It has only taken me ten years.

In other exciting news, La Duchess has set sail for France. I spent a good chunk of my day yesterday teaching her to use an iPad. Which involved me having to learn how to use an iPad. It’s really not that hard seeing as how it is pretty much a touch screen Mac.

Today is a day of working on those damned theater blocks. I’ll be making another one and working on a new super fancy mold. Then meetings this afternoon about school stuff and then article writing duties this evening. Isn’t life exciting? If only I could get some sleep. Man, I’m glad I’ve got coffee. More soon. ~SC
