With His Bear Hands.

Not sleeping is for the birds. The good news is that my meeting this morning isn’t until a little after 9, so I can take my sweet time getting around today.
Yesterday was a day of people staring at me like I was an alien. My meeting first thing left the whole group with a lot to think about. So much so, that when we had our next meeting, we didn’t get a whole lot accomplished. After that meetings was over, I went on the hunt for the Great White Buffalo of office supplies. (Great White Buffalo) Unfortunately it wound up being a wild goose chase instead.
Since I had crap for luck finding this thing, I’ll put it out into the ether and maybe you, my devoted reader, will be able to point me in the right direction. Imagine, if you will, a 3 ring binder. Have you got the image in your mind? Good. Now take one of the rings and get rid of it. We’re down to 2. Now take the front and back covers of the binder and rotate them 90 degrees. And voila! That’s what I’m looking for. I need a 2 ring binder that orients the paper as a landscape rather than a portrait. Or rather, you punch the holes in the short side of the paper rather than the long side. Think ledger book or business check book.
Everywhere I went looking for this thing, people looked at me like I was insane and making up stuff. The thing exists dammit. The Rev. Dark Wombat has one. Unfortunately, he bought his in Japan. Now, I know that I stated that it resembles a ledger book or a business check book, but where do you buy those? Everywhere I went, they sold the refills but not the books. Hell, at this point, the ring count is irrelevant. I just need the format.
I’m sure by now you are wondering why I’m on such a ridiculous quest. Well, besides my obvious obsession with office supplies, for Pathfinder of course. I need to keep track of my character and my notes and whatnot and unfortunately, I can’t punch holes in the long side of the paper because I have important nerdy information printed and written there. I would just bind it together myself, but since I need to add pages from time to time, this is not feasible.
After my fruitless hunt yesterday, I returned home to do some more work on school stuff. By the time 7 o’clock rolled around it was time to continue our level up session from Monday night. And Oxi rolled up a character so that she can join our campaign. She’s playing a cat-folk bard. Between the dynamic of her cat character and Dave’s rat character and the endless stream of “There’s Cotton In My…” jokes to come, the comedy is going to be ensuing like a mofo.
Let’s see what’s on the agenda for today. So far, just my meeting in the 9-ish hour. After that it is going to be a play by ear kinda thing. But first, I probably should put some pants on. Have a great hump day. More soon. ~SC
