You’d Have Stopped, Too.

This post is going to be brief because I’m running a bit behind this morning. First thing today, I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Big D (who is probably on his way to pick me up). We’ve got to go to the bank for Jesus now.
Also, I’ve updated the 2012 Photo page and the Corner Video Store with stuff from the Japan adventure. Check ’em out.
Yesterday was a day of waiting for emails. So, needless to say, I did a lot of house work and wound up hypothesizing. What was I hypothesizing about, you ask? Cookies of course. I’m working on taking my cookie making to a whole level. And in a way, I succeeded. Or rather, I failed to reject my hypothesis. So far, anyway.
I was looking through my sugar cookie recipes when it dawned on me that they are all pretty much slightly modified versions of my regular cookie recipe minus the nuts and chips, but add lemon zest and lemon juice. So I decided to run an experiment with my regular cookie recipe and just substitute the citrus. But guess what. I don’t have any lemons or lemon juice. What I do have though, is clementines. For those unfamiliar with clementines, they are a super sweet and juicy breed of Mandarin orange. And they’re really cute.
Did the experiment succeed? Well, I’ve already told you that I failed to reject the hypothesis that they’d be awesome, so yes. Oh crap, I’ve gotta run. More soon. ~SC
