Yesterday was a long day. It started with a meeting at 8 that went until noon. At which point I declared I was leaving in order to eat something before class. Then I went to class until nearly 3. Then I came home to bake something for Little Miss Cotton.

She loves Snickerdoodles. It’s not my favorite thing in the world, but whatever makes her happy. Apparently they are not my favorite thing in the world because of the cinnamon. Not a cinnamon fan. Sure, there’s a time and a place for it, but not in my house. I actually had to go buy cinnamon. What I am going to do with the leftover cinnamon, I have no idea. You know, seeing as how the only person I bake cinnamony stuff for is leaving today.

After baking it was time to shoot arrows. The Rev. Dark Wombat brought his new friend to shoot with us. You can call her Maruberu Gaaru. Or Tomo for short. After shooting arrows, we headed for a snack at a local Vietnamese restaurant because our new friend had never eaten Vietnamese food before. Then we headed to the grocery store to hunt maple cookies. I found this instead:

I had to buy it. And frozen pancakes to eat with it. MG discovered the wonders of the dessert section in the bakery. Tiny pies? Don’t mind if I do.

After grocery shopping, we headed to Holliday Island to await a call from Dave telling us that they’d made it home. You know what happens when you come to Holliday Island…

Maruberu Gaaru.

So, the call finally came, but MG had to get home. No bubbling for her.

For the most part I sat and drank tea. And talked in old man voice. And they bubbled. I ate Frito chili pie at some point, too. Then, it was 1am and I had to go to bed. So, I came home and tried to fall asleep. Ha!

I woke up today at the hind tit of my alarm going off. Nearly two hours of rednecks blaring at me and I wake up 10 minutes before it shuts off. Sleep is for suckers.

Today is Friday. That means I am in meetings all day without the luxury of escaping to class. sigh. Tonight though, we start rolling up practice characters. Well, I’m prairie dogging over here, so I’ma run. Have a great weekend. More soon. ~SC
