My backpack has this slowly creeping hole in it. Day after day it grows larger. It is big enough now that my finger gets caught in it from time to time as I try zipping up the thing. So, the time has come to mail my backpack off to the manufacturer for repairs. That means I need a new backpack for the interim. I could use the “laptop” back pack that La Duchess gave me, except that it weighs about 4,000 pounds.

So, Teacher Sis and I headed to Der Staples yesterday to hunt me a backpack. I know that an office supply store is a weird place to look for a backpack, but we had our reasons. The first reason was that their school supplies are on sale. The second reason was that she had a 15% off card for your total purchase. So, ultimately I got a $120 backpack for like 40 bucks. And I got rewards on that.

Plus the new backpack has a lifetime warranty on it. And it has this crazy side pocket that is a stroke of genius. You’ll have to see it to understand, but just take my word for it. It’s brilliant.

Today is a work day. I’ve got banking stuff to handle, and an article to write, and chores to do around the house. Hopefully tomorrow will be a productive work day as well. I don’t think I can take another week of sitting around waiting for stuff to happen.
