The Day Nothing Happened.

I keep waiting for it, but it never happens. I’d like to start out today’s post by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Mellie Mel. Be sure to wish her one as well.

I spent the majority of yesterday trying to do stuff that I never got accomplished. After class, I headed to Lippincottonia to work on mugs. The plan was to make 20 more. Never happened. Between trimming the 40 I made on Tuesday and trying to get La Duchess’s printer to work, I ran out of time. Remind me to pick up some more at WalMart* the next time I’m there.

After work and the gym I was beat. You’d think that I made it to bed at a decent hour. I even took a lone Unisom to help this getting to bed at a decent hour. Okay, so I lied. I accomplished getting into bed at a decent hour. I even fell asleep before midnight. Then, I had horrible nightmares and proceeded to wake up around 12:15-12:30am and couldn’t go back to sleep for a while. Not in that “too scared to sleep” way. Or even the “now I’m awake” way. I was so tired and medicated that I couldn’t keep my eyes open or my head upright. But, I kept getting out of bed to get a drink of water or go to the bathroom or to eat an antacid. It sucked.

Speaking of antacids, why don’t they just call them bases? That’s what it is. It’s calcium carbonate. The same stuff limestone and marble are made of. When it reacts with the hydrochloric acid in your stomach it turns into calcium chloride (salt) carbon dioxide and water. Hence the burbing. But why call them antacids? Is it because people won’t understand what a base is? These are the things that I think about first thing in the morning.

That, and tetrahedrons:

Today is a day of attempting to do very little. I have a massage with Steph the Sage in a couple of hours and then nothing until dinner. The Rev. Dark Wombat and I are supposed to make some food chemistry for the Japanese crew. Something called eggroll casserole. I have no idea, other than eggrolls, what is going into it. It hasn’t been invented yet. On that note, I’m going to go do nothing. Have a great day. More soon. ~SC
