Here We Go, Yo.

So what, so what’s the scenario?
I am having a hard time wrapping my head around how 1990s that was.
If you are wondering why I called the Tribe in this morning, please be patient. I am getting to that. You see, I have had this textbook in my office for a month now. It is one of my textbooks for History of Modern Science. My plan was, idealistically, to read my texts before the semester started so that I’d be ahead of the game. They say that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Well, I paved my fair share during the break while watching Bones.
Yeah, didn’t read them. So, it came as a great shock yesterday in class when my professor explained about of the texts. The book is called “The Trial of Galileo” and it is published by this group of historians called Reacting to the Past. It turns out that this is no ordinary text book. It is a module for a role playing game. No dice or skill checks or anything, but still we will be live action role playing the trial in class. On one hand my inner nerd was screaming with joy and on the other I was beating the inner nerd up for not having realized what the book was sooner. Shameful.
It was like being a necromancer. A necromancer sitting in his office watching old episodes of his favorite television program and not realizing he had the Necronomicon sitting three feet away. Idiot.
In an attempt to redeem myself for this tragedy, and in order to redeem WBA from their pitiful loss against QPR yesterday, we played Sweetbread’s copy of FIFA 2013 last night. I am not usually one for sports games, but playing as my beloved Baggies is definitely an exception. And I even scored a goal or two.
Today I shift more type. And judging by the clock on the wall, I should probably get on with that. More soon. ~SC
