Upgrades Are Hard.

Mainly, it is just figuring out where everything goes.
Howdy friends. I spent the majority of yesterday trying to figure out how to level up Larry Jenkins. Not that leveling up a monk is hard or anything, but we are switching character sheets. Let me explain.
When we started playing Pathfinder, we all got this simple two page character sheet that was supposed to hold every tiny detail about our characters. Guess what it didn’t do. Quickly it became apparent that I’d need extra paper to keep notes about people to talk to (or punch) or about stuff to buy. I’d need somewhere to write out the descriptions of what all of my feats and special abilities actually do. Long story short, the two page character sheet was more like the Cliff’s Notes cover page to the stack of notes underneath it.
That all changed a few days ago. The Rev. Dark Wombat distributed new character sheets to everybody, or at least to me and Dave. This new character sheet is something like 20 pages long. And boy is it thorough. The only down side to it is that we have to figure out where all of our info goes. And a lot of it is sort of personal preference. Like picking which of your special abilities is offensive or defensive or miscellaneous.
And that pretty much summed up my day. Sure, I did my fair share of dealing with my student and his teachers. And sure, I went to the gym. But that is small potatoes compared to the awesome power of Larry Jenkins. Who is not real. Sigh.
More soon. ~SC
