When the numbers don’t add up.

So, if you haven’t heard, a tragedy has stuck America. Apparently, a math teacher in New York was having his students make real life connections with math. One of the connections involved measuring everyday objects. That is when they discovered that the cream in a Double Stuf Oreo isn’t in fact double that of a regular Oreo. It is only 1.86 times the “stuf”. Life will never be the same.

Also, you jazz hounds out there, time for some really sad news. Marian McPartland, the host of Piano Jazz, died yesterday. If you’d like to read a tear-jerker of a tribute to her, click here. Marian, I will miss your smoky voice coming through my radio late on a Friday night.

Yeah, it has been kind of a downer of a morning so far. It can only go up from here.
