Holes. Huh. Good Gaw Y’all.

What are they good for? Scary the living crap out of people.

I was digging around on NPR’s website this morning, looking for something to talk about, when I found this article on the scientific breakthroughs surrounding Trypophobia (the fear of holes, specifically in your skin). I would have once considered that silly, but after having met several groups of Japanese exchange students, with at least a couple of each group being absolutely mortified by silly things, such as circles or knives being pointed at them, I no longer think that the fear of holes is unusual.

Stupid? Yes.

Unusual? No.

The best part about the article is that before getting to the text of the article, but after you click the link to get there, the first thing that is there is an image of holes. Here, see for yourself: Scaredy Cat. It was the NPR equivalent of throwing a handful of spiders at a person mortified of them. More directly it was NPR screaming “Fuck you, chicken shit!”.

One main reason I was digging around on there was because I have nothing better to talk about. The other reason was because I had heard a little snippet on the radio this morning about a Swedish coffin company making coffins with sound systems built in. And it made me think of something that Dave would do. So, I was trying to find it for him. Both musical and macabre. So, Dave. Also, found it. Just not on NPR.

That’s pretty much all I’ve got for you today. I mean, I could talk about going to the bank for Jesus and cooking for the exchangers or I could show you a video like this:

But I won’t.

Sponge

More soon. ~SC

$30,000 for one of those coffins!? I’ll pass. You guys can just play the mix I made for my FUNeral and then feed me to the hogs.
Or better yet, turn me into a paste to fill all those holes. I always did like filling holes.
