I Can Turn The Grey Skies Blue.

Or at least a bluer shade of grey.

I’d like to start out today’s post by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Squeaker. She is almost a teenager. (Scary) Be sure to wish her one as well.

Lately, I’ve been digging Black Sabbath. I mean a lot. No, seriously. A lot. I’ve also been wanting a tie-dyed t-shirt. Why? No idea.

Yesterday, on one of the four trips that I made there during the day to Walmart*, I decided to see if they had a Black Sabbath shirt. Seeing as how I am listening to little else these days. No such luck. What I did find, however, is a tie-dyed t-shirt. And this shirt might be the coolest shirt ever. And it saddens me a little that I found it at Walmart*. But I quickly got over it. Because this makes me so incredibly happy. Stupidly so.

Wanna see it? Okay:

This is happening. Right now.

This is happening. Right now.

Little Miss Cotton, eat your heart out.

I also found a copy of “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath for five dollars. Success.

Furious Jessy informed me, at some point yesterday, that Books-a-Million now has a vinyl records section. Apparently, they have a pretty good selection at a decent price. She should really have gone into marketing, because she knew how to insure that I’d go there at some point in the very near future by telling me that they have:

a) Black Sabbath

b) Beastie Boys

c) jazz and shit

Know your audience.

So, I’ll be heading over there, probably later today to at least dig through records. I might not buy any seeing as how I am broke, my record collection is in disarray, and I don’t currently have a turntable.

Today is Monday. Ugh. We’ve survived another weekend only to turn around and go back into another work week. The words “I don’t wanna get up” actually left my mouth this morning when the alarm started going off. In that whiny little kid voice. You know the one.

On that note. I have to go pack up my gear for school. Being a teacher is more dumber than being a student. But I get to draw wieners on the dry-erase board when no one is around. It’s the small thing that make life worth living. Things like silk screened cat faces on tie-dyed t-shirts.

More soon. ~SC
