Making Books.

No, not that kind of books.
So, today’s post is about books. Sort of. It is more about apps designed for making books. Specifically about Paper by 53.
As some of you may recall, there was a period of my life a while back where I spent a lot of time in meetings that I didn’t have any business being at. I wasn’t being at all productive. So, I turned my attention to be productive in my own special kind of way.
I got the Paper app for the iPad and would while away the hours of pointless meetings by doodling. Here is a sample of what I doodled:
This is just a sample. There are way more.
I discovered this morning, that 53 has teamed up with Moleskine, my most favoritist notebook company, to actually print the books that you make in Paper. Check it:
So, of course my idea has become printing books to help support the website. Then I learned that each book costs $40. Then, I decided that there are better and more cost effective ways to help the website. Seeing as how I’d have to shell out forty bucks each to print the damned things, then sell them to the few dozens of you who read this, most which you are broke to boot, at a higher price in order to make the needed money to build the site up. I think I’ll stick to buttons and stickers. Maybe even t-shirts.
Yeah, I just figured out how many high quality stickers I can print out for $40. Let’s just say it is way more that one.
Okay, I am off to go sit around and watch my stories until tonight. Tonight we head back into outer space with the second episode of (read out loud with an echo) The Adventures of Spacegirl Jessy (and her mercenary companions) in Outer Space. I’ll try to record it this time.
Have a great weekend. More soon. ~SC

I love the paper app. I need to get it for Jackie. He is an MS Paint master artist practically.
