Have you ever heard of ASMR? It means Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. You know that sensation you get that makes you all tingling and goosebumpy? The one that sends delicious shivers down your spine or crawling up your neck as a response to certain sights and sounds?

That’s ASMR. And people who enjoy it (no, REALLY enjoy it) call themselves Tingleheads. Not kidding.

And there is a whole world devoted to it.

The most common ASMR response comes from speaking softly or whispering. It helps people relax and fall asleep. And there are tons of these videos on YouTube. Whole channels devoted to fielding requests. Requests like this:

Fetishes with a budget. I like it. Way more creative than this. But equally weird.

Feel free to fall down the tingly rabbit hole. Which sounds really dirty.

Think you are immune to this crazy shit? Think again. You can’t pretend that watching the Joy of Painting hasn’t brought you some deep weird tingly calm. The way Bob Ross half whispers about happy little trees, totally ASMR triggers. Just listen to this old favorite of mine and take note of the sound of his voice or the sounds of brush on canvas.
