The Day That Never Ends.

Which was yesterday. So, I guess it did end…

As much as I love Lord Kelvin’s Day of Rest, it just seems to drag on forever. Maybe because I did a whole lotta nothin’.

That’s not entirely true. I did read all five issues of “Rat Queens”. Not familiar with it? Okay, let me ‘splain.

This is Rat Queens:

Rat Queens

That picture pretty much sums it up. Imagine a comic set around a group of 4 women adventurers, ala DnD, except with all of the sex, drugs, cursing, booze, and violence that the 15-year-old boy version of yourself could ever want. So, it is, of course, my new favorite thing. I unfortunately have to wait until May6th for the next issue. Balls. I did preorder the trade paperback of it, which collects the first 5 issues into one book. You can borrow it sometime. If you ask nicely. Or you can click here and read it on your own dime.

It is so good.

“Orcs only speak one language. Blood. I’m the fucking alphabet.”

Yeah. It’s that kind of comic.

Other than that, not much happened yesterday. Which, I suppose, is the point of the Day of Rest. It is but the calm before the storm of Thursday. Which also makes sense sense it is Thor’s day. And he is the god of love. THUNDER!!! Love. Why quibble? Yeah, quibble.

Today is a busy one. Workout first thing. Then ye olde bank run for Jesus. Then a bunch of little errandy things. Then dinner with the exchangers and bed. I almost wrote death there. Instead of bed. Not quite Freudian, but a close enough slip.

Wish me luck in getting a nap in this afternoon.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC

Ha! When I was a kid, we refered to the mythical, ideal, perfect girl as, “the rat queen”. I wish Henderson read your blog. That’s awesome!
