Or was it “No Idea Euphoria”? I can’t remember.

Greetings and tidings ye blissfully ignorant! For ’tis Monday. And I shall regale you with tales of woe and arthropods. So, fetch a horn of raktajino and relax in your squishy office chair, our tale begins with a man failing to relax.

Saturday I had intended to do nothing but conserve my energy for the Feast of the Mudbugs that would be occurring about 6 hours after my post went up. I failed so excellently at this resting business.

Around 12:30pm, Teacher Sis called to tell me to get my butt up the hill so we could go to the Remnant Trust thing at the library at the U of A. Since the exhibit is leaving on the 12th, I figured I wouldn’t have another chance to get up there to see it given the mysterious itinerary of my upcoming California trip. After much grumbling, I put some pants on and raced up to Fayetteville. It was at this point that I got to doing things that I never imagined.

I got to hold and look through original copies of “The Communist Manifesto”, “Of the Advancement and Proficiencies of Learning or Partitions of Sciences“, a “Vulgate Bible“, “De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium“, “Dialogo di Galileo Galilei linceo matematico supremo dello studio di padova“, an 18th Century manuscript of the Koran, “The Magna Carta” ca. 1350, and (the pièce de résistance) “Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica“. I got to hold them. In my sweaty, un-gloved hands. And you didn’t.

And then we ran out of time for touching priceless artifacts. So, I came home. I got back with just enough time to make a batch of cilantro pesto before heading to the boil.

And then we feasted. And then we face-planted into a Gleaming the Cube watching food coma.

I slept for 10 hours. Then I took a giant crawfish and corn poop. How’s that for visuals?

After getting my bearings (coffee) I got dressed and headed to Teacher Sis’s to help prep for the birthday party for Big D/early Mother’s day thing for Word to Me. We figured it would be easier for everyone if we combined them into one big party. I might be gone next Sunday and Prince Jazzbo is working crazy hours on Saturdays, so getting us there next weekend again was looking iffy at best.

So, we partied. And then we napped. Or would have if we hadn’t had to sort through all of these photos. This about summed up the party:

Family

After coming home and digging through a million photos, I rested for a split second and headed to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Haven’t seen it? You’ll cry.

As for today, I have no idea. Other than my workout, which I need to be getting to, that is. Perhaps I’ll fold all of this laundry.

Have a wonderful day.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
