I’d like to start out today’s post by wishing a very Happy Birthday to Little Miss Cotton. Be sure to wish her one as well. And this one is for her:

Once again, no ponies to report of. Yesterday was a day of bill paying and textbook ordering. I did run into Seasaw Shawn on my daily Walmart trip, though.

I have no idea what today holds. Other than sweating a lot.

Okay, now it’s time to talk about the thing that I really want to talk about. That thing is Harry Potter. Specifically, my Harry Potter class. For one, other than the professor, I’m the only dude in the class. Secondly, I know half the people in the class.

As to the subject matter, we are obviously talking about Harry Potter. Duh. We are doing so in the most academic of ways though. Imagine if you took a psychology class about Pathfinder. We are exploring (mostly) the writing style of the books and why those particular literary mechanism are so effective.

Character development, plot twists, literary references, and all of that other stuff writers do. We talk about all of it. And it is awesome. We are just a bunch of nerds getting to geek out together over something we love.

It’s pretty rad.

I would tell you more, but I’m not going to. I have to go do stuff. I told you, this is a busy week.
