And welcome back to Monday.

It’s a sad day here on Holliday Island. I have to return these awesome rental lenses. I didn’t really get to play with them. Sure, I shot a ton of photos of derby, but these are also portrait lenses. And I had no time to shoot anyone in the face with them.

The good news is that I liked the 50mm so much that I’ll probably end up picking one up. And then I will shoot all your faces. All of them. No seriously. I’ll need faces to shoot, so feel free to volunteer. I’ll put out an all call when I’m ready, so you don’t have to start standing in line now or anything.

Yesterday was a day of being on call. So, I did a lot of reading. After work, I headed over to work on Sica & Clipkid’s garage. We swung hammers and sweated until the sun went down. There’ll be more of that today, I’m sure.

I need to get to it, so I’ll leave you with this new trailer for a movie based on a book that I’ve been meaning to read. I have a hard back first edition of it and haven’t opened it once. Shameful.

It’ll be next on my list once I finish “The Silkworm”.

Okay, time to start sweating.
