Strange Days.

Are here.
And I’m not talking about that Ralph Fiennes movie. I’m talking about the itches. The kind you get after you find a tick crawling on your leg. There must be more of them. There surely couldn’t have just been one. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!
Yesterday was one of not stop moving. In that cosmic sense, not in that relocating to a different house sense. And it was stupid hot. So, I poured sweat all day.
I did hear back from my doc, though. The x-rays appear to place my sinuses in an acceptable range known to medical professionals as “normal”. Apparently, the average person’s insides look very similar to mine. With the crooked nose and the lightning everywhere.
Today is another sweltering day in paradise. After today, the temperatures are supposed to start slowly dropping back to tolerable levels*. It’s a good thing I don’t have to go out in this heat at all.
Oh. Wait.
Today is one big, nonstop, errand running, hot mess. I get to go pick up my rental lenses. I get my ears lowered (I’m considering a mohawk). I get a much needed massage. All of that comes on the heels of a brutal workout.
But how do I know the workout is brutal when it hasn’t happened yet? Because, after yesterday’s workout, any activity today that requires movement is going to be brutal. Sleeping last night was brutal, let alone trying to sit down on the toilet. I had to lower myself down slowly like an old man. If workouts continue to be this awesome, I’m going to invest in some of those stainless steel handrails that go next to the toilet.
Those and some tailored pants. Because the correct size waist line on pants no longer accommodates the fact that I have a butt and seriously meaty thighs. Pants were stupid before. Now they’ve been elevated to the level of bullshit.
And on that note, I probably should go face the music.
Don’t forget, tomorrow is Roller Derby day. Doors open at 5. Games start at 6. I’ll be there trying to shoot people on wheels.
See ya’ tomorrow.
More soon. ~SC
